best vacuum cleaner for pet hair

If you have never bought a vacuum cleaner for pet hair , you may have a hard time deciding on which of the top two best vacuum cleaner is best suitable for pet hair. This is because, the two best have very good reputation indeed.
One is the Hoover WindTunnel T-Series Pet Rewind Plus Upright Vacuum, Bagless, UH70210, and the other is the BISSELL PowerEdge Pet Hard Floor Corded Vacuum, 81L2T. Both can be found at Over 1750 customers have bought and reviewed the Hoover wind tunnel while over 1600 customers have used the Bissell Poweredge. But the Bissell has a
star rating of 4.3 while the hoover has a 4 star rating out of 5 stars. For me the Bissell is the winner and as a hardwood floor vacuum cleaner which removes pet hairs excellently well, it beats all other pet hair vacuums. I
have already reviewed the BISSELL PowerEdge Pet Hard Floor Corded Vacuum, 81L2T. But just have a look at how they stack against one another in the table below.

So we are going to look at the Hoover WindTunnel T-Series vacuum cleaner for pet hair.

a) Fold down handle makes storage a snap and ideal for small storage spaces
b) Automatic rewind cord neatly winds the 27-feet cord back inside the unit for easy storage
c) Brush roll shut off pedal makes it easy to go from carpet to hard floors
d) System check indicator alerts the user when the rinsable filter, HEPA and Carbon filters need to be cleaned or checked
e) On-board tools include pet hair turbo brush 12-inch extension wand, crevice tool and easy to clean pet furniture nozzle with rubber blades

This pet hair vacuum cleaner has what it calls the Hoover rewind. This is an automatic cord rewind. When you are done vacuuming , you unplug the cord from the wall and push on the grey plastic switch by the side of the vacuum cleaner to auto rewind the cord. It has two tires that allow for easy movement. And these tires can easily go over rugs, not getting stuck on the edges. The additional tools like the crevice tool and the extension wand all sit very nicely on the machine. These can be used to reach places that the normal vacuum will not reach. However the extension wand can only reach up to about 8ft. which is clearly not enough. It has an air powered brush bar which is quite power for vacuum cleaning stair case and upholstery. It has very good filtration system. The carbon filter can absorb must pet odors. It has a rotary switch on the front that is used to adjust the height so that it can clean all types of floors.

It has an air powered pet hand tool with rubber blades which collects the hair and then the powerful suction suck them away. The handle can be folded. This allows it to be stored in small spaces.

Noise Level

At over 80decibels , this hoover is loud.

It has a powerful suction that allows it to suck in large quantities of debris at a go.

You will need to empty the dustbin frequently, so that there will be no clogging inside. There are two filters. The lower one can be tapped gently to remove the dirt, while the upper one can be rinsed.

Customer reviews.

Even with the 4 star reviews earned at amazon, this vacuum cleaner for pet hair has some flaws. One of the major flaw is that it cannot clean edges. You can get over this flaw by using it’s crevice tool and the extension wand but the length like I mentioned above is not adequate. This is where the BISSELL PowerEdge Pet Hard Floor Corded Vacuum, 81L2T, beats it. It can suck up dust quite easily on rugs and other hard fools. But for large particles it tends to blow them away, instead of sucking them

1) Good suction power
2) Not loud like some other vacuum
3) Long retractable power cord
4) bagless
5) can shut off the brushroll so that you can vacuum hard floors.

1) The dirt bin is small. This means frequent emptying of dirt.
2) Suction tool hose a bit short
