Looking for the best quiet vacuum cleaners and reviewing it took me a lot of time and research. I had to, not only look for, a vacuum cleaner that is quiet but also very good at vacuuming. Also I had to find a way to ascertain it’s quietness before reviewing it. This was difficult because some manufacturers don’t put the noise level in their description of their products.

This led me to watch many youtube videos where the noise level was actually taken. So you can imagine. After collecting the names of the vacuum cleaners that profess they are quiet, I now went to youtube.com to search for videos about them. The table below is what I came up with.

SELECTING AND REVIEWING QUIET VACUUM CLEANERS
Looking at the table, you can see that there are canister vacuum cleaners, handheld vacuum cleaners and upright vacuum cleaners. If I’m looking at the noise level alone to choose the best quiet vacuum cleaner, I will choose the Electrolux UltraSilencer EL6986B Canister Vacuum because it is the most quiet of all the vacuum cleaners shown. However, we want the best all round vacuum cleaner with some emphasis on quietness.
Also the last two vacs on the table profess to be really quiet, but I could not find any recorded noise level for them. For them I have included some youtube videos, to give you an idea of how quiet they are.
After researching all the other vacs on the table, looking at their all round abilities, and emphasis on quietness, the Electrolux UltraSilencer EL6986B Canister Vacuum , seems to be the winner. So let’s go on and have a look at it properly.

It has a noise level of 67db. This one of the lowest noise level of vacuum cleaners.
Suction
The suction is powerful. It sucks debris off carpets and bare floors easily. It has adjustable suction power for different rug piles.
Cleaning
The Prolux is a bagged vac, meaning you don’t have to mess around with emptying a dirt bowl that just covers you with duct you have just vacuumed.
Durability.
This is built to last. With parts built from stainless steel, you don’t have to worry about something getting broken very soon.
Accessories
The tools and accessories are on board. That is, the hard floor tool, upholstery tool, crevice tool and dusting brush.
