handheld cordless vacuum cleaner reviews

Why handheld and cordless vacuum cleaners? These are vacuum cleaners you want to easily move around the home or take anywhere with you. They are extremely useful to have in the home. Can they replace your normal upright vacuum cleaners ? No. One of their problem is the issue of charging the battery after every 10 to 20 minutes of use. And the
charge time could last hours before they are fully charged. To overcome this, you could use a handheld corded vacuum cleaner instead. You want to have a handheld vac in the home to use for those quick vac jobs. So you don’t need
to worry about lugging out the big vac every time there is some mess, pet hair or debries to clean. Also using them in closed places, like your car, really shows their importance. The top 3 handheld vacuum cleaners according to customer reviews on amazon.com are the…
a) Black & Decker CHV1510 15.6-Volt Cyclonic Action Cordless Dustbuster
b) Black & Decker PHV1810 Cordless Pivot Head Vacuum
c) Dirt Devil Accucharge 15.6V Cordless Bagless Handheld Vacuum, BD10045RED

All three are quiet enough, according to customer reviews. Compared to your normal upright vacs, these are definitely quiet. However, I could not find any recorded noise level for these handheld cordless vacuum cleaners.

For suction power, I will have to say the Black & Decker CHV1510 surpasses all others. It’s powerful suction is the number one feature that most customers agree on.

Cleaning.

The CHV1510 features a translucent dirt bowl that makes it easy to empty the debris. Additionally, the bowl and filter are washable for thorough cleaning of the unit when the job is done. The Black & Decker PHV1810 Cordless has Removable, washable dirt bowl and filters for easy cleaning.

For the Black & Decker PHV1810, it’s innovative design and washable bowl and filter.

Cons.

For the Black & Decker CHV1510, many customers were not happy with the battery charge. They complain that it doesn’t hold charge for up to 10 minutes. These cordless vacs are not meant to be switched on, and use continuously. I guess this is what some customers do. Expecting to vacuum a large area. For the Black & Decker PHV1810, the battery charge does not last long too. This was the main complaint by customers. For a full 24 charge, this handheld could only last approximately 10 minutes.
For the Dirt Devil Accucharge 15.6V, the main complaint is that , it’s battery life is short. Ranging from 3months to a year. This could be due to the type of battery used for this handheld and the way these customers charge them.
That is the Ni-Cd battery. This is not made to be charged constantly. It is better to allow the battery to completely discharge before charging again. Also the battery for this vacuum cleaner is not replaceable. Once it dies, you have to get another vacuum cleaner.
